Sometimes, couples skip an engagement session. I understand why; the expenses of a wedding day or a destination trip can often make engagement photos seem like a luxury item that can be forgone. But I always encourage couples to invest in their love story, because they will never regret doing so. Your engagement season is one that you will never get back or relive, and it’s truly a season of change and excitement as you anticipate your wedding day. All of that joy is captured with an engagement session. Of course, you can choose any location for your session, whether it’s the comfort of your own home with a lifestyle session, or a destination that is very special to the two of you. As a wife and mother myself, I know how quickly life passes by, and how grateful I am that I have photos from our engagement, wedding, and the births of our children. Sometimes, those phases pass so fast, I barely remember them…photos are the sweetest way to make sure they can be looked back on for generations to come.
This beautiful shoot was done in the local Lavender Fields. Here in Southern Oregon, we are blessed with many different lavender farms, all locally owned and filled with the fragrant blossoms. They make for some truly. beautiful images, and traversing to this one with this lovely couple was a highlight of my recent session dates.
