Boudoir, or Embodiment, Photography

I think I found myself drawn to boudoir photography after I started having children. When you’re young, childless, and inexperienced in life, you don’t think of your body in the same way. Sure, you might have some hangups (what woman doesn’t), but there’s something about carrying and nurturing life that reshapes your body in powerful ways.

This is not to say that boudoir photography is, or should be, limited to mothers who have carried babies and given birth, only that this was the pathway that brought me here.

It is what opened my eyes to the concept of embodiment, and my longing for all women to feel at home in their bodies. After all, our bodies are our first homes.

As a photographer who has always loved being on one side of the lens, I have long loved to take photos of women who love themselves, to help women love themselves, and to make women feel more comfortable in front of a camera.

There is a natural, healthy, shining beauty in every woman I have met in life, and I suppose it is my photographer’s eye that helps me capture this beauty with my camera.

I started offering boudoir sessions as a result.

In a world where women are constantly being told who to be and who to do with their bodies, I welcome women into a world where they can embrace who they are. Where they can embody their most intimate emotions, get in touch with their divinity, and radiate that divinity outward in ever expanding circles.

I offer embodiment sessions in my photography studio, on my private property (for outdoor sessions), or in your home or a location of your choice.

You can also choose a light, girly, soft session, or a dark, sultry, more erotic session. Or a mix of both! We can play with lighting, music, movement, and outfits to make you feel sexy and comfortable. Yes, those two things should go together.

I also have a colleague who offers somatic healing, or Feminine Embodiment Coaching, for my clients who want our combined efforts in what we call an Embodied Alchemy Portrait Session.

Please contact me to find out more about booking a boudoir shoot or an Embodied Alchemy Portrait Session.

We can discuss your expectations, your comfort level, and all the details of your upcoming shoot.

I look forward to hearing from you.
