Honeymoon 2013 | Dominican Republic
Our honeymoon was a blast to say the least. We chose the Dominican Republic Dreams Resort. We wanted an adult play land and that is exactly what we got. Waking up to a gorgeous beach and resort with all inclusive meals and drinks was the way to go. This was the least stressful trip we have been on and it was our first time out of the states! They really did an amazing job and the people at the resorts were fabulous and so nice! We could have learned a little more Spanish ahead of time but we picked up what we needed. To be honest most of the staff spoke excellent English and even knew more than one language. The people of the Dominican are soulful and joyous even with the state of their country (very low income). We did venture off of the resort (but left our big camera in our room). We went zip-lining at this amazing rescue farm for animals that was near the Rio Chavon river (the river filmed in Anaconda and some of the Rocky movies!) The most memorable part for us was actually driving to the farm and meeting all the wonderful Dominicans. It is a beautiful country and is seriously a paradise. Since this was our honeymoon and it was a vacation I didn't focus on capturing professional traveling photos...I focused on us after all it was our once in a lifetime honeymoon. So we had fun with the camera and I wanted to share that fun week with all of you! Too bad mike didn't capture me doing some aqua aerobics that was quite the fun! If you are looking for an affordable and excellent place to travel look into Dreams Resorts! Food, drinks and service was incredible!!!! One day we will be back with our babies I am sure of that! PS Sorry for all the "Selfies"

All photos taken with Canon Mark11 (except first one iphone pic) The following photos are our mobile devices. The comparison of both mobile and "professional" is nice for anyone trying to figure out what they want to take on a trip. A big camera is work but it also is so much more a difference between the quality of image. The phone photos were fun and convenient though as well as safe for our jungle excursion!!
